The county of Surrey is located South West of London, and, with its
population of 1.1 million, is the most densely populated shire county in the UK. Given its proximity to London and enormous range of facilities, working towns and beautiful countryside, it¹s hardly surprising that Surrey is such a popular choice for people to make their home.

Despite its massive population, only 16% of the land in Surrey is urbanised, with 70% green belt and 22% wooded. Kingston can be found in the north of Surrey. Kingston is the oldest of only four royal boroughs in England and Wales and was the site for the crowning of seven Anglo-Saxon kings. Dissected by the River Thames, Kingston is a famed, modern shopping town with The Bentall Centre and John Lewis providing brand named shopping to complement the wide selection of independent
retailers.

No time spent in Surrey is complete without a trip to the races at Epsom, and this delightful market town near Kingston offers many facilities apart from its world-famous race-course.
